Comments:
This is one of the best versions of Black Mountain Rag that I've ever heard. I've wanted to learn this one for a long time, so I spent much of this past weekend working on this tune. I had never played in the AEAC# tuning before, so it took a little getting used to. My playing isn't that great in the recording, but hopefully I will be playing it better in the future.

In the transcription, the A, B, and C parts are presented, followed by the coda. At the bottom of the page is an alternate A part, the well-known pizzicato variation. (To play pizzicato notes, pluck the strings with the fingers of the left hand.) A variant of the C part is on the second page.

I transcribed this tune from the two YouTube videos below. The transcription mostly follows the first one, but I transcribed the ending licks from the second one. Enjoy!

Alright....encoutaging since he made it look easy. Now back to another year of trying to get it down. I love this tune and uncle pen also.
