This is an odd little rag, at least from a fiddle perspective. The fiddle plays all the way through, but mostly behind vocals, including yodeling, spoken word, and singing. There is an instrumental introduction and break, which are led by the fiddle. The fiddle theme is expressed in the first four lines.

There are many instances throughout the piece where the fiddle alternates between As and G#s in broken rhythm. I play the first A in these phrases by sliding up to an A on the D string. I play subsequent As on the A string, allowing me to set up a rocking motion with the bow when alternating between A and G#.
