This version of Leather Britches was recorded in 1927 by Georgia state fiddle champion Earl Johnson. This version is more difficult than most of the others that I have transcribed, and is in the key of A while most others are in G. The first time through, Johnson played four distinct parts. After that, it got a little loosey-goosey. Some alternate parts are included at the bottom of the transcription. Feel free to ad-lib to your heart's content. Play this fast, as in the YouTube video below.
