Here we have an excellent version of Leather Britches, as played by Gordon Tanner, son of the Skillet Lickers' Gid Tanner. I really like this version, especially the slides down from a high D and an F# in the next-to-last measure of the A part. Try this version out and see what you think.

This is Gid's son Gordon playing the fiddle. Gordon learned some tunes from Lowe Stokes, and carried over elements of his style when playing them, while Gid always fiddled like Gid.
