This version of Leather Britches was recorded by W. L. Gregory on fiddle, with Clyde Davenport (another well-known fiddler) on banjo. They played it three times through, and then ended on a short variation of the A part. Each time through, Gregory varied the A part significantly, but played the B and C parts basically the same. The variant A parts, and the short variant A part ending, are shown as alternate endings off the C part in the transcription. This version is crooked, with an extra two beats at the end of the B part.
