This version of Sail Away Ladies (which Uncle Bunt called Sail Away Lady), was recorded by champion Tennessee fiddler Uncle Bunt Stephens in 1926. Stephens claimed to have won the title of World Champion Fiddler at a contest sponsored by Henry Ford in Detroit, Michigan, though this claim has been disputed. At any rate, this is the earliest known recording of this tune, and it's a really good version. The key to playing this is to establish a nice rocking motion with the bow in the A part.
