Jawbone comes to us from the minstrel repertoire.  Goforth's version is the best I've ever heard.  This is somewhat challening, but very rewarding.

Check out the version by Gene's brother, Cecil Goforth on the "Traditional Music of the Ozarks" album. It's the best "Jawbone" that I have ever heard.
