This transcription is of the fiddle breaks to Grayson and Whitter's recording of Tom Dooley.  This groups fiddler was Gilliam Banmon Grayson from Tennessee.  This is somewhat ironic, as the villain in the song Tom Dooleyis a sherrif named Grayson who framed the innocent Dooley for a murder he didn't commit.  I originally learned this song from Kingston Trio recordings (as most people did, I'm sure).
