Doc Roberts recorded this incredibly cool rag twice, in 1925 and again in 1930.  This transcription is of the later recording, as it has survived in higher quality.  Roberts learned it from his mentor Owen Walker.  Roberts related this about Walker: ""He was the fiddlingest colored man that ever was around Kentucky. He played like a white man, only he could beat a white man."  This rag is quite challenging, but worth the effort.
