Comments:

This is an absolutely incredible Texas tune as played by an equally incredible fiddler, Gary Lee Moore.  Moore informs me that Uncle Pig was originally written by Texas fiddler Orville Burns, and that Moore's version of it has evolved over the years.  I think you will agree that this is one sweet tune, despite the funny title.

I have classified this tune as a rag for lack of a better classification.  The Fiddler's Companion lists it as a breakdown, but it doesn't sound anything like any breakdowns I've ever heard.

This isn't a terribly difficult tune, but it may take some effort to master.  Like many rags, it has a lot of accidentals.  Also look out for double-stops that might not feel natural at first.  This tune is worth the effort to learn properly.

Here's a YouTube video of Gary Lee Moore fiddling Uncle Pig in what appears to be a lodge room.  He plays it well in this video, but the room was too echoey for me to transcribe the recording.
