Comments:

Arthur Smith's excellent version of Bonaparte's Retreat is a really good representative of the march variant of this tune.  Be careful of the pizzicatto in the B part on the second and third times through, including pizzicatto with the left hand while bowing the fourth string.  This version is also crooked, with two extra beats turning up here and there.  Tune to DDAD, with the lowest D an octave below the next D.
