Comments:

This tune was once very popular, and was a standard at fiddlers' conventions a century ago.  It was one of my father's favorite old time tunes (along with Shout Little Lulu, Corrina Corrina, and Sally Had a Wooden Leg).  Now, it's more a novelty tune, probably due to its politically incorrect title and subject matter.  Although I abhorr political correctness, it is my policy to sanitize tune titles that contain racial slurs.

The recording consists of a fiddle intro, seven fiddle breaks, and a fiddle outro, with darkly comedic lyrics interspersed between the fiddle parts.  I have transcribed the fiddle lead, which was mostly played with sawstrokes.
