Recording on the album Lewis Thomasson: Old Texas Fiddle Tunes Played the Old Way

This version of Wild Goose is much more substantial than Eck Robertson’s version.  Thomasson played five distinct parts, with harmonics in the E part (and introduction) imitating the horrid noise made by wild geese. As I said in the comments to Eck Robertson’s version, I hate wild geese (having been attacked by them more than once) and I can’t say that I care for this tune very much.

Watch this YouTube video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ue90f5r-2Qw for instruction on playing harmonics.
