Glory on the Big String seems to be either a polka or a hornpipe, and my ears lean towards identifying it as a polka. Hollis’ rendition is deliciously archaic. The transition from the B part to the subsequent A part is abrupt. Dr. Hollis played two distinct variants of the B part, peppered throughout the tune: one crooked (missing one measure) and one straight. Dr. Hollis seemed to get lost in the A part the third time through the tune when he accidentally inserted two extra measures. Look out for broken rhythm and sixteenth notes.
