Comments:

Benny Thomasson played College Hornpipe (also known as Sailor’s Hornpipe) in a medley with Acrobat’s Hornpipe an as-yet unidentified hornpipe. He started with College, then played Acrobat’s followed by the unidentified hornpipe, and finally reprised College.

I have always played this hornpipe in the key of D, but I think it works better in Bb. Thomasson apparently liked the B part better than the A part, as he played it more times than the A part. Note that the field recording cuts in during the B part, so I don’t have the A part of College Hornpipe from the beginning of the medley. The reprise does have a complete A part, however. There shouldn’t be anything too difficult other than the possibly unfamiliar key. Look out for sixteenth notes, and also fast triplets over sixteenth notes.

I am also including a transcription of the entire medley so that this version of College Hornpipe can be seen in context.
