Comments:

This is West Virginia fiddler Clark Kessinger’s version of Buffalo Gals. Round Town Gal may be a regional name for this tune. This is from Kessinger’s later period, so it’s a little grassier than his earlier works. The fiddle alternated playing lead with the banjo throughout the piece. The bulk of the tune doesn’t contain anything too difficult; just look out for accidentals and sixteenth notes. The ending contains some Spiccato bowing, and the final note was played pizzicato. Kessinger also used some vibrato, which is denoted in the tablature by a squiggly line to the left of notes to be played vibrato.
