Soppin’ the Gravy is another of Kessinger’s recordings that later became a Texas standard. It consists of a single two-line part, repeated ad nauseam with variations. This version isn’t very difficult, with the hardest thing being a unison A. Kessinger used a good bit of vibrato, which is denoted in the transcription by a squiggly line to the left of notes to be played vibrato.
