Comments:

This widespread rag, also known as Whistling Rufus, consists of a single four-line part repeated several times with variations.  In the Texas Contest-style fiddling tradition (as typified by Benny Thomasson), it’s all about the variations.  Thomasson varied it up accordingly.  Look out for accidentals, which are all over the place.  The sixth and eighth repetitions go up to a high C, while the seventh and eighth repetitions go up to a high E.  It sounds as if the high E might have been achieved via harmonics.
